One winner will receive a complimentary 3-song EP at Tangerine Recordings, worth $4,500

Second Prize — Free Single
One winner will receive a complimentary single recording project at Tangerine Recordings, worth $1,500

Third Prize — Free 4-Hour Studio Session
One winner will receive a complimentary 4-hour block of studio time at Tangerine Recordings, worth $400

Contest Rules

  • Contest is open to bands and solo artists.

  • Each artist or band may submit one demo for consideration.

  • Demos do not need to be professionally recorded. Rough recordings, phone demos, live recordings, and home recordings are welcome.

  • Entries will be judged by a panel of professional producers based on songwriting, artistic potential, and overall impression. Recording quality will not be a determining factor.

  • Winners will be selected by the judging panel and contacted using the information provided with their submission.

  • Entrants must be able to travel to Tangerine Recordings in Minnesota to redeem their prize. The prize must be redeemed within six months.

  • Travel, lodging, transportation, and other related expenses are not included.

  • By entering, artists confirm that they own the rights to the music submitted.
